The Seneca Falls Convention of 1848 was crucial in elevating the cause of women's rights to an issue of national concern.

Further Explanations:

Seneca fall Convention was the paramount women's right’s convention that emphasized promoting religious, social, civil rights of women. The convention took place in the “Wesleyan Chapel” of Seneca Fall, New York and lasted for 2 days till 20th July 1848. It was followed by another pact held at Rochester, New York along with numerous other pacts in Worchester, Massachusetts.

“Elizabeth Cady Stanton”, “Lucretia Mott”, “Mary M Clintock”, “Martha Coffin Wright” and “Jane Hunt” were the main spokesperson behind the convention . These women were the active participants of the “Abolitionist Movement” that was initiated for the freedom of slaves and termination of racial discrimination. The manifesto of the Convention was “The Declaration of Sentiment “ describing the injustice and misery of the women. Elizabeth always advocated for women and urged them to fight for the rights that were guaranteed to them by the “Right To Equality” clause of the constitution.
