Answer:

Calgary - E

Hudson Bay - B

British Columbia - A

Quebec City - C

Ottawa - D

Explanation:

On the presented map we have the territory of Canada. Canada is the second-largest country in the world, and it is located in the northern half of the North American continent. Despite the huge size, the country has a pretty small population that is highly concentrated near its southern border. Being such a big country, Canada has multiple marking geographical features as well.

From what we have marked on this map, there are three cities, one province, and one major geographical feature. Calgary is one of the two biggest and most developed cities in Alberta. Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec, as well as being its center in any aspect. Ottawa, even though much smaller than multiple other cities, is actually the capital of the country. British Columbia is a province that occupies a big portion of western Canada, and it is a highly developed province. Hudson Bay is a major geographical feature. It is a bay that goes very deep into the interior of Canada and it is so large that most countries in the world are actually smaller than it.

Why is London, United Kingdom, farther north than Ottawa, Canada, yet it has a warmer climate than Ottawa?
Alisiya [41]

So there's actually two answers to this question. The Gulf Stream is part of the reason why Britain is warmer, since it carries so much warm water, but the difference between a maritime and a continental climate is more important. At the latitudes of Canada and Britain, the prevailing winds are coming from the west. If you're in the east, the prevailing winds are gonna have to travel all the way across the ocean, which will lead to it being warmer in the winter, and colder in the summer. If you've got thousands of miles of continent out to windward, your climate will be more extreme. If you're going across the entire ocean, it's gonna be more mild, and predictable. Continents just get hotter and colder than oceans, and this affects the temperature of the atmosphere passing over them.

The climatic shift that was a major contributing factor to the collapse of the Viking colonies is known as the ________ ____ ___
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

Greenland Norse collapse

Explanation:

 • The southern Greenland Vikings numbering 5000 at their peak never gave up their old way of lifestyle and did not adopt that of the Northern Inuits who arrived a century later after them.
 • The study suspects that the climate factors became dominant and they were destroyed by the shifting nature of mother earth hence they starved to death and could not adapt to the present change in weather patterns this society collapsed.
 • Some theories say soil grazing and over-exploitation of land lead to the effect of black deaths and the creation of ice age. It indicated that the number of fertile women dropped and thus population could not sustain itself.
