Answer:

c. Gatsby's desire to regain what he once had.

Explanation:

While Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby lives in West Egg which is an inferior part of the island, East Egg represents the rich families who had inherited wealth from generations, unlike the 'new found' riches of those in the West Egg. The green light in "The Great Gatsby" was first mentioned in chapter 1 when Nick and Gatsby met after he had returned from his dinner with his cousin Daisy and her husband living in East Egg. It is representative of Gatsby's desire to regain what was once his- money, power, class and being in the company of the rich society again, and most important of all, Daisy.

During the season, I was always derived a great joy walking the wild for miles looking for which tree to harvest, sometimes from morning to sunset. Meanwhile, as a little child I relied on nature for recreation, having lived in a forest region of south Nigeria, I had access to wide grown trees for different kinds of seasonal fruits which I always look for forward to. However, there was always that feeling of familiarity identify different shrubs. In "To a Poor Old Woman," which symbolic importance or meaning do the plums take on?
storchak [24]

In "To a Poor Old Woman," the plums represent the simple joys of life, which are available to anyone.

In this poem, the narrator observes a “poor old woman” eating plums from a paper bag, which makes him think about its taste. He knows that plumps are not really expensive neither extraordinary, and that's why he supposes that the woman is poor, since she seems not to have eaten plums in a long time.

This represents a joy of life for her, while for other people it's something normal.
