PLZ HELPPPP!!!!!! Can someone please write me a four paragraph rough draft to the question "What are the reasons some people fee
Naddika [18.5K]
#1 Many people around the world believe certain books should be banned, why is that? Well, first off there are books that contain sensitive topics such as religion, with these books people see it as offensive to them and their beliefs.
#2 Following that, parents and elders seem to dislike when strong language and cursing are present in a book, they feel as though they must protect children from it.
#3 Then again, another reason is, some books are deemed to “depressing” and “unfit” for people, books with mature themes and sad surroundings are something that people don’t want to read about.
#4 And finally, Racial topics. Books that talk about race stir up a lot of controversy about wether or not it’s offensive, some people argue that race is too much of a sensitive topic to talk about and therefore they want it to be banned. Overall these are some reasons why people believe certain books should be banned.

How does irrigation generate employment in the society and boost the national economy of a country
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Explanation:

Irrigation refers to an artificial means of getting land and crops watered by leveraging water supply from rivers, and dams through distribution channels. Irrigation thus ensures that crops and land gets constant supply of water to aid growth even when natural sources of supply (Rainfall) cease or becomes insufficient. With enhanced irrigation scheme, the agricultural sector will be able to challenge and tackle posed by erratic and uneven rainfall distribution which mostly hampers the efficient crop growth and the appealing nature of the agricultural sector.

With reliable irrigation scheme in place , the fear of being struck by huge loss resulting from unavoidable and low Rainfall supply is eliminated as farmers, horticulturist can result to the use of of these artifical watering systems. This will appeal to investors who may decide to invest in the sector which has been on the decline in most countries thereby providing jobs and employment opportunities.

With a good and potent irrigation system, there will be a boost in the agricultural sector, this means a probable rise in food and cash crop production meaning the nation would have successfully developed another major of the economy capable of providing good return internally and even greater return on export basis.

Choose the set of words that is an adjective clause: I hardly recognized my car, which had undergone a complete make-over.
Marina CMI [18]
The correct answer is D) which had undergone a complete make-over.

An adjective clause is, basically, an expanded adjective. It provides a description of the subject or object of the main clause. For example, this adjective clause could easily be replaced with a simple adjective. It is a clause, and not a phrase, because it has a predicate ("had undergone"). It is a dependent clause because it can't stand on its own, unlike the main clause.

In lines 17-20, Lincoln says that one party would make war while the other would accept war. To whom was Lincoln referring in ea
Debora [2.8K]
The side that would make war would be the South or the Confederacy. The side that would accept war would be the North or the Union.

The full quotation is, "Both parties deprecated war, but one of them would make war rather than let the nation survive and the other would accept war rather than let it perish, and the war came."

Lincoln attempted to lay blame at the feet of both sides of the issue. Both parties or groups disliked war, but were so drawn to it based on their perspectives of why their side was justified and why the other side was wrong. He was attempting to distribute blame, but his speech was criticized and misunderstood at the time.
