Answer;

okie dokie so the first question was for me anyways

Ideas for Prototype Design

Similar to a cardboard oven just smaller and solar powered

Preliminary Sketches (attach separate paper, if needed)

the picture is the one provided lol

the secnd question is..

__________________________________________________________

Advantages: Disadvantages:

● the tin foil will attract the sun● if theres enough heat for the food to warm up

●the plastic will keep bugs and/or animal away from getting it

●the box gives the food something to be in instead of the ground

disadvantage

● it might take longer

__________________________________________________________

Option B: i think im going to stay with my original plan i can always make changes

more advantages and disadvantages ( i guess just pick from the one you

want lol)

●reducing my carbon footprint by alot ● heat varies so the food my take really really long

●using no energy other than the sun

__________________________________________________________

third Q:

Which of the three designs will you move forward with? Explain your reasons for selecting this design.

I will be moving forward with option A bc i personally can't think of another way or design and i think option A has more advantages than disadvantages

fourth Q:

What modifications, if any, did you make to the basic design during the construction process?

I used skewers to hold the flap up

fifth Q:

Will your device warm the hot dog to a temperature of 165°F? How will your device do this?

Well i guess it depends n alot of things such as where i will place my solar cooker and the weather changes i will most likely put my solar cooker on the black paper because darker colors absorb more heat then lighter ones, then i will wait maybe 10 -20 minutes and check on my hotdog

__________________________________________________________

6th Q:

Will your device efficiently warm the hot dog in 20 to 25 minutes? How will your device do this?

my device will do this by attracting the suns rays and energy towards the box

__________________________________________________________

7th Q:

Will your device reach a temperature well above that of its surroundings? How will your device do this?

I think so especially if i put it in direct sunlight around a darker surface and of course the aluminium foil will help with this as well

__________________________________________________________

8th Q:

Record your observations and the results of the experimental tests of your device below. Temperature of the surroundings (in °F): ______70_______

( i just put 68 because its been raining all day and the highest its gonna get next weekend for me is 68 but u can put whatever :) )

__________________________________________________________

9th Q:

Maximum temperature reached inside the solar cooker (in °F): ____65_____

( okay on these questions i dont really plan on getting them right but u can always change it )

__________________________________________________________

10th Q:

Use this table to record the internal temperature of the hot dog every 2 minutes. Use a separate sheet of paper, if necessary.

(the table picture is the second picture i provided)

okay here are guestamatted answers

Time: Temp:

4:28 65

4:30 72

4:32 75

4:34 76

4:36 80

( keep in mind this is based of of my temperatures so i dont expect to get this table right )

11th Q:

Evaluating Your Prototype

What worked well?

i would say definitely the black paper and tin foil sin they attracted most of the suns energy

__________________________________________________________

12th Q:

Which features can be improved upon?

i think maybe if i did t on a different day it would have gotten hotter

__________________________________________________________

13th Q:

How could the overall design of this device be improved?

Position the flap more so that the hotdogs can get more sun

Doing it on a hotter day

Letting it cook longer

__________________________________________________________

14th Q:

Why would this change be an improvement? What concepts related to thermal energy transfer is this improvement based on?

this change would be an improvement by the hotdogs getting warmed to the right temperature this is related to thermal energy by the position of the flap i think if i angled it more in an abtuse angle the sun would have transfered to the foil to the bottom foil with the hotdogs

__________________________________________________________

15th Q:

Draw a well labeled sketch of the final design

( i provided the sketch , should be the third one with the black square)

This statement about the giraffes is a logical fallacy called hasty generalization.
The boy thinks that if one giraffe was friendly to him, that all giraffes are bound to do the same - he is generalizing something that doesn't have to be correct.

The best explanation of why Rukeyser repeats them is "to emphasize the idea that war is violent".

What is a poem?

A poem is a piece of poetic writing, that is with an intensity or depth of expression or inspiration greater than is usual in prose.

Rukeyser repeated the first and last lines of the poem in order to emphasize the idea that war is violent and it destroys. War is never a thing of joy an individual should experience. It displace families, destroy properties and businesses.

Which type of structure is used in the text? problem and solution cause and effect chronological comparison and contrast.
tia_tia [17]

Chronological text structure is often confused with sequential text structure, and even sometimes it is incorrectly referred to as chronological sequential text structure.

Correct options are A and C.

The "Problem and Solution" and "Chronological" structure is used in the text.

  • 'Problem and Solution' because the author first proposes the problem created by the cables as it allowed them to tap the communications followed by the solution(cutting of cables through the cable ship Telconia).
  • 'Chronological' because the events are portrayed in succession, one after another.
