How was the Vietnam War important to the American people?

History
1 answer:

Answer:

Hey

Explanation:

The Vietnam War was the longest war in American history and the most unpopular American war of the 20th century. It resulted in nearly 60,000 American deaths and an estimated 2 million Vietnamese deaths. The war caused turmoil on the home front, as anti-war protests became a feature of American life.

After the United States withdrew from the Vietnam War, it experienced many significant changes to its culture. Perhaps the most important consequence that came out the Vietnam War was the overwhelming suspicion and lack of trust that the American public developed for government and authority.

Hope this helps!!

Which of the following statements would explain why Germany and Austria-Hungary were known as central powers
prisoha [69]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

"The Allies described the wartime military alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire as the 'Central Powers'. The name referred to the geographical location of the two original members of the alliance, Germany and Austria-Hungary, in central Europe."

"The geographical position of the German and Austro-Hungarian empires also gave the Central Powers at least one very important strategic advantage over the Allies they were fighting. It was much easier for the Germans and Austro-Hungarians to move troops, equipment and supplies from one battle front to another because they could do much of this on their domestic railway networks."
