Answer:

The best summary would be:

<em>"The dissolution of the union would be terrible for the whole country and would result in the accumulation of all the bad things that we are afraid to complain about. However, I have no interest in a union that cannot be maintained by kindness and brotherhood, but prefers to be maintained by war with the use of swords and bayonets."</em>

Explanation:

Robert e. Lee was a southern general who fought alongside the Confederates in the session war. Although he was loyal to the southern states and a great defender of the slave culture that existed there, Lee wrote a letter to his son revealing great concerns about the reasons that started the war and how the dissolution of the union, or the defeat of the confederation, would be bad for people's lives. Although he believed that the dissolution of the union was not the solution to the problems of the southern states, he despised a government that encouraged war as a way to solve its problems, instead of kindness and brotherhood.

Papessa [141]

Answer:

The correct answer is B) to show immediately that there is some tension between Claudius and Hamlet.

Explanation:

Hamlet's sarcastic response is figurative language. A pun. He uses this sarcasm because Hamlet reveals his disgust at his mother's speedy marriage to his uncle. This is the first pun of the play.
