The Taiping Rebellion (1851-1864) was one of the bloodiest conflicts in history, a confrontation between Imperial Chinese forces and a group inspired by a self-proclaimed mystic who was named Hong Xiuquan (1813-1864), who claimed to be a Christian and also called himself the brother of Jesus Christ. His aim was to create a new culture, replacing the Confucian and Buddhist tradition with something "new" that was shaped according to his ideas. Although the Manchu Dynasty win the conflict eventually, it was considerably weakened after it, leaving China very vulnerable to hostile nations.

What was order 9066 and how did it affect the japanese americans?
LuckyWell [14K]
Order 9066 was a World War 2 policy that had long term consequences for the Japanese Americans. The order allowed the Army to "evacuate" anyone that they thought was a threat to National Security.

It affected the Japanese Americans severely. The order forced more than 120,000 Japanese to relocate. They were relocated to 1 of the 10 internment camps  around the U.S.  (Internment = putting someone into some sort of prison..) They put the Japanese into these camps in fear that they were loyal to Japan.

If Spanish colonization was based on mining operations, how would that affect their relationship with Native Americans?
algol13

Answer:

The Spanish colonization affected the native americans in many ways. The Spanish brought foreign sicknesses that killed a good amount of the natives population, they took land in their mining expeditions, they took natural resources, and they forced the Natives into slavery and forced them to practice the Christian religion.

Explanation:

The Spanish and Native relationship changed in many ways throughout their whole experiences together, mostly negative changes. When the Spanish arrived in America the illnesses they carried with them were things they had already experienced therefore they had adapted to be immune. The Natives had not been exposed to these illnesses though so they were impacted by them greatly. The land the Spanish took in their mining trips was taken forcefully. Since the Spanish were taking so much land the Natives were losing land and therefore also losing the natural resources they needed to survive.

Why were the articles of confederation created the way they were?
expeople1 [14]
The Articles of Confederation were created the way they were because of the way the British government had oppressed the American colonists. Therefore, the Articles of Confederation were structured in a way that allowed the federal government little to no power over taxes or individual states. Each state has its own individual government that created its own laws and printed its own money.
