Answer:Readers need to consider emotion, logic, reason.

Explanation:

Readers need to consider emotion, logic, and reason. Why should I do that or why should I not do that? persuasion is a different type of writing in which you are telling the reader to do something so as a reader you should consider the reasons why it would help you.

So this passage in question is chapter 23 pg 304

Leading into what he says, jem explains to scout that there are four kinds of folks, which leads them to talk about their family's background leading to the conversation of learning how to read and write where scout goes on and tells him "no everybody's gotta learn, nobody's born knowin'. That walter's as smart as he can be, he just gets held back sometimes because he has to stay out and help his daddy. Nothin's wrong with him. Naw, jem, i think there's just one kind of folks. Folks."

Which leads us to Jem saying "thats what i thought, too when i was your age. If there's just one kind of folks, why can't they get along with each other? if they're all alike, why do they go out of their way to despise each other? Scout, I think I'm beginning to understand why Boo Radley's stayed shut up in the house all this time...its because he want to stay inside."

My interapation of this is that Jem means the he thought that the trial wasn't equal. The thought that the world isn’t as good as he thought and believed. The Tom Robinson’s trial made it clear which made Jem come upon this relization. That the staying inside maybe meant he (boo radley) maybe was scared it may not be a very pleasant world, not fair and judgemental towards him

Hope this helps :)

The reader can logically predict that the narrator will most
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

Watch the movie and then buy his sister a gift she will enjoy.

Explanation:

The given passage from "The Quinceanera" shows how the narrator was in a dilemma on what to do- either get his sister a gift or go to the movies which he had already planned to see. He knows he has to get the gift but he also did not want to miss the movie.

And then, he mentioned that his sister loved movies so maybe he can get "two birds with one stone". He will go to the movies and get her move tickets for a gift, which simplifies his dilemma. So, going along the narrative, we can best predict that he will go to the movies and then get her a gift she will enjoy.

Thus, the correct answer is the third option.

What type of sentence is this: The teacher did not approve of the behavior from her students; she expected more. *
telo118 [61]

Answer:

Compound sentence.

Explanation:

A compound sentence is a sentence that contains two or more independent clauses. Independent clauses are those words that can stand on their own as a full sentence and needs no dependent or other words to complete. Also, compound sentences using coordinating conjunctions to join the two independent clauses.

In the given sentence, there are two independent clauses separated by a semicolon.

Now, semicolons are used in place of conjunctions if the two sentences are related or close to each other. This means that we can replace conjunctions such as "like" or "and" in the sentence.

Likewise, the given sentence used the semicolon to connect the two independent clauses, making it a compound sentence.

The sentence cannot be a simple sentence as a simple sentence has only one subject and a verb.

And it cannot be a complex sentence as complex sentences contain an independent and dependent clause. And we have no dependent clause in the given sentence.

Thus, the correct answer is a compound sentence.
