Read the scenario below and answer the questions that follow for 2 points each: Two Siamese and three Persian cats survive a shi

pwreck and are carried on driftwood to a previously uninhabited tropical island. All five cats have normal ears, but one carries the recessive allele f or folded ears, his genotype is Ff. The other four cats are not carriers, so their genotype is FF. Thus there are 10 total alleles within this population, 9 being F alleles and 1 being f. So, the frequencies are 9/10 or 0.90 for F the allele and 1/10 or 0.10 for the f allele. 1. Identify ONE of the five conditions required for Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium that this population of cats does not meet. 2. If you assume Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium for this population, what would be the frequencies of the two alleles after 10 generations? 3. Knowing that the frequency of the folded ears genotype ff is equal to to the frequency of the f allele squared (0.1 x 0.1), how many cats would have folded ears if after 10 generations there are 2,500 cats on the island?

How would more secondary consumers affect the biomass of the higher trophic levels?
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

would increase, population, and chances of getting more food for survival.

Explanation:

By the increase in secondary consumers, that would give more food and energy and the ease of finding food for the tertiary consumers, which will give more energy for activities and therefore sexual activity can no longer be lacking the energy barrier, and due to that the population of tertiary consumers increases, eventually leading to the same effect and increase in Quaternary consumers.

Digestion of food occurs in the small intestine. No further digestion takes place when food passes from the small intestine to t
Aliun [14]

Here is your answer:

This statement is "false" or the second option. Digestion takes places as soon as you put food in your mouth. That's because your saliva has chemicals that starts to break down the food as soon as you put it in your mouth. Then it goes down through your esophagus then through your stomach going through the primary intestines but when it gets to the small intestine that's when it sucks all the nutrient's out of the food that would give the body energy and gets rid of the food that won't.

Hope this helps!
