PLEASE CHOOSE CAREFULLY!!!!!
hram777 [196]

Almost all of them.

The summary should have been presented much earlier. We discussed A and B and they both should be included as answers to this question.

We find out that there is an element of deception present as well. Nora makes a loan from one of Torvald's associates in the bank. Torvald knows nothing of this, and Nora is morally incomplete: she is not forthcoming about what she's done. I'm sorry to say that in my mind, she is less than truthful about money and it is slowly ripping a hole in their marriage, which makes the last one true.

The notion of appearance and reality is well explained. He roars like a lion with a thorn in his foot, and she pretends to cower and be controlled. The truth of the matter is that she is not the least bit intimidated and continues to operate behind his back. I think that a common stereotype that exists in literature. Sometimes it exists in life as well.

All of those attributes are present in Act I. I think you can check them all off or you can argue the main ones which are ABC and D. E actually comes a bit later but I included it because even in the lines quoted, you can read it a second way. You can read her line as absolutely seriously (which I didn't during the first question about this.)

She is (very subtly) saying "I want the money and I don't care where it comes from and I'm tired of living like a pauper. And I will spend that money as I wish."

I sure wish this was an essay question.

What common theme or themes occur in all of Hemingway's short stories? Respond in
AleksAgata [21]

Nature, disillusion, death and suffering are the most recurring themes in Ernest Hemingway's writings

Explanation:

Most of his stories are described/written with a background of suffering and pain. In his childhood and youth, Hemingway experienced grief, suffering, ruthless behavior. These aspects are clearly felt and understood when we read his stories. Each story has a varied explanation of its own but underlying themes are similar to each other.

Nature and its avid creations are one of the most prominently described aspects in his stories. Beautiful creatures, mountains, valleys and scenery give a deeper sense to his story and characters in it. Disillusion and death are always a part of his stories. Either a character that is dear/beloved to another dies or is about to leave the one in remorse in his stories which creates a vivid image for reader to feel the suffering along with character in the story.

Masculinity is another theme usually depicted in a subjective way by Hemingway where he compares it with hunting/killing/standing up against another living being (usually animals).

His stories from which, we can quote examples of the same themes are:

The Nick Adams stories, The Snows of Kilimanjaro, The Old man and the Sea, The Old man at the bridge, A day's wait, Up in Michigan.

Which is least like the others? Lamp, flashlight, spotlight, flare
umka2103 [35]
I would say that a flare is the least like the others, considering that it doesn't have a bulb, whereas the other options do, and it is fired in the air, whereas the other options are not thrown and ejected.
