Answer:

Clay believed that if Texas is be received into the Union as an integral part of it  then it will destabilize the union and instead of acquiring Texas, it is better to compose and harmonize the present union rather than introducing as new component that would further add to the existing element of discord and distraction. He said that acquisition of foreign land is not right if it is done for strengthening one part against another part of the common confederacy and this can lead to dissolution of the Union

Why did the ming dynasty restrict trade with Europe
Lady bird [3.3K]

Although Jorge Álvares was the first to reach the island of Lintin in the Pearl River delta in May 1513, it was Rafael Perestrello, a cousin of Christopher Columbus, who became the first European explorer to disembark on the south coast of China and to trade with Guangzhou in 1516. In 1517, the Portuguese launched a large commercial expedition in Guangzhou and sent a delegation on behalf of Manuel I of Portugal to the court of Emperor Zhengde, relations quickly degraded after death of the emperor when the ambassadors of Malacca (in present-day Malaysia) accused the Portuguese of having dethroned their king.In 1521 and 1522, Chinese naval forces expelled the Portuguese ships and the first rear-loading culverines arrived in China.

Why did America's response and sanctions make the Japanese desperate? The Japanese felt shamed by the lack of American response.
g100num [7]

Answer:

look below

Explanation:

right so when japan attacked America in 1941 they thought that they would do anything to stop a war like negotiate or something. but instead they just stirred a sleeping beast. because america was the richest country at the moment and the leader in economics. a couple hours after pearl habour lady lex ( formerly known USS Lexington ) USS enterprise and York Town were on the hunt to find the japenese task force that sent the carrier- based aircraft. japan had already invaded half of asia but they obviously didnt have enough resources to power their navy and air force the heart of the japenese power. they tried to knock australia out of the war by doing a secong pearl habour on them sinking some scout planes warships and subs. they also destroyed some artilery batteries. but that werent enough. to the end of the japenese they were so desperate that they were using kamikaze planes, rockets and subs. they even sent Yamato to beach it self on the beaches of okinawa to stop the americans and use the ship as a giant artilery platform.
