Answer: cheese pizzas = 25 , Pepperoni pizzas = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = Number of cheese pizzas, y =  Number of pepperoni pizzas.

As per given,

x+y=40\ \ \ (i)\\\\ 7x+9y=310\ \ \ (ii)

Multiply 7 on both sides of (i), we get

7x+7y=280\ \ \ (iii)

Eliminate (iii) from (ii), we get

2y= 30\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=15

Put value of y in (i) ,  x+15=40\Rightarrow\ x= 40-15= 25

Hence, cheese pizzas = 25 , Pepperoni pizzas = 15

ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer: option A is the correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost of oranges in a grocery store is directly proportional to the number of oranges purchased. Jerri paid $2.52 for 6 oranges.

If p represents the cost, in dollars,and n represents the number of oranges purchased, then introducing a proportionality constant, k, the equation becomes

p = kn

2.52 = k × 6

k = 2.52/6 = 0.42

Therefore, the equation representing the relationship is

p = 0.42n

Josh estimates the height of his desk. what is the reasonable estimate?
Galina-37 [17]
<span>The complete question includes these choices: A)1 foot B)2 feet C)5 feet D)9 feet The correct answer is B) 2 feet, approx. 24 inches; most standard desks have a height between 28'' to 30''. The answer A is too low, C and D are too much, the perfect answer would be at least 3-4 feet, but as this question proposes only these answers, the nearest estimating value is B)2 feet. </span>

Sarah can take no more than 22 pounds and I like the trap her suitcase weighs 112 ounces how many more pounds can she park witho
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

15 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

there are 16 ounces in one pound

so...

first find the limit in ounces

22  =  \frac{x}{16}

because there are 16 ounces in every one pound you need to multiply 22 by 16

which is 352

now subtract what you already used

352 - 112

which is 240

now convert to pounds

x =  \frac{240}{16}

which is 15

so 15 more pounds
