Which word might be used to describe how a very cautious mouse walks past a sleeping cat in a cartoon?
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Warily

Explanation:

A very cautious mouse would warily walk past a sleeping cat. When someone is wary, they are cautious, careful.

To maneuver means to move skilfully or carefully, but it would not be used in the context of a mouse. For example, you could maneuver while driving a car.

The remaining two words have completely different meanings. Matronly means of, relating to, or having the characteristics of a matron (usually a mature and dignified married woman who has an established social position).

Odious means extremely unpleasant.

Match the letter of the author with his or her description. Not all letters will be used.
andre [41]
The correct answer for this example is Emily Dickinson. She is the writer of this poem and i presume that you wanted to write "Emily Dickinson" instead of "Emily Wingspaninson" under A.

No ghost stories at camp?
Galina-37 [17]
The article basically talks about how for years it’s been a tradition at camp where the older kids or adults tell spooky/scary stories to entertain the children. But now they are banning the old tradition using the example of a 14 year old and 8 year old listening to the story. While a 14 year old might get some good sleep, an 8 year spending his first summer away might the frightened and might not enjoy his stay. They go on to say that this tradition brings joy to most once they mature and are able to tell reality from fiction.

The narrator states that the porch sitters "sat in judgment." How does the porch serve as a metaphor for judgment?
notsponge [240]

Thus, the character of Janie Mae Crawford Killicks Starks Woods, the novel's 40-year-old heroine, is introduced as she endures the judgments of the porch sitters. Readers will come to know Janie as a strong, independent, free-spirited woman who strives to define herself, rather than allow others to determine who she is.
