This question is incomplete. Here's the complete question.

Read The Trip of the Horla, by Guy de Maupassant

How does the quote "We are already so far, so high! What? Are we really leaving these people down there?" contribute to the story?

Answer:

It shows how amazed the narrator was by the speed of the hot air balloon going up.

Explanation:

The narrator describes the moments before the hot air balloon gets released in a rather calm tone. When he gets to the moment when the balloon rapidly rises into the sky, the narrator quotes himself, showing how impressed he was at that point by the high speed at which the balloon could travel.

Which media outlet allows us to learn in multiple ways?
vichka [17]
Video games are the media outlet that allows us to learn in multiple ways. When it comes to magazines and newspapers, you are just reading, so there isn't much else to do. With radio, you are just listening. But when it comes to video games, you have to be immersed in the game and to use most of your brain to finish the game, thus learning many valuable skills as well as interesting facts, depending on the game, of course.

Which sentence is the hook in this introductory paragraph? For the first time in decades, Baby Boomers have been outnumbered by
zmey [24]
So, the hook usually comes right at the beginning. It's the sentence that's the most provocative or surprising.

I'd say that's the first sentence in the paragraph. Doesn't it want to make you keep reading to find out more? (Assuming any interest at all in the topic, of course.)

Does war negate human rights and human decency? Why or why not?
Simora [160]

It does negate both of them because it negatively affects everyday life to a great extent, in which people lose freedom, suffer from emotional distress, live with threat on their and their family's lives, have problems in working, obtaining food, and other problems that impact a reasonable standard of living and consequently violate the human rights.

Violence, in general, change the environment to the extent of the reach it has, in this panorama, domestic violence;local gangs on their fight for territory; and finally, great wars that cover an entire nation or a group of countries, negates human rights and decency.
