What is the relationship between Columbus and Spain
Katen [24]

Answer:

King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain sponsored Christopher Columbus' trip. They hoped that he would successfully find a way to bring gold and spices back to Europe from India and China, which would increase the wealth and status of Spain. While he didn't find that, he "discovered" the Americas, which allowed Spain to claim land and conquer it.
