Short story: My friend and I both have full scholarships to attend our dream schools. We were going to go to a party to celebrate, but on the way there her car broke down and we missed the entire thing. Turns out the party got busted and several of our friends were arrested. Three of them also had full scholarships to their dream schools but once the schools found out they were arrested they no longer offered them a scholarship and would not allow them to attend the university. Good thing her car broke down, that could have been us, we were lucky that night.
The factors which promoted the development of new forms of entertainment were (A). The new middle class had leisure time and extra money.
