What does it mean when a person has "limited resources"? When is a resource considered scarce? (Site 1)

A resource is said to be scarce when there isn’t enough of it to go around. When Daniel begins thinking about all the things he wants to do with his summer vacation, he realizes he only has a limited number of weeks before he has to go back to school. Daniel’s summer vacation is a scarce resource: there isn’t enough of it to meet his demand.

Explain the difference between trade-off and opportunity cost. (Site 1)

occurs when one benefit is exchanged for more of another benefit. And The opportunity cost of something amounts to how much money and time you are willing to spend plus whatever benefit you give up by not choosing an alternative.

What is an "incentive"? What is Daniel’s incentive for going to baseball camp? (Site 1)

Just as the baseball bat and the jersey are an incentive for Daniel to go to the baseball camp, Sarah being home is an incentive for Daniel not to go. However, the new friends he will make at baseball camp are also an incentive to go. In order to make a good decision, Daniel must identify whether going to the baseball camp has more incentives than not going to the camp. He also has to determine which incentives are more important to him.

Answer:

A commercial site might have reliable information, you have to be extra careful because commercial sites promote businesses, products, or services, so the content is likely to be biased toward whatever is being promoted. Once you have looked at the overall website, look at who wrote the article you are interested in. The article should include the author’s name, qualifications, and contact information. Consider whether the author is an expert on the subject matter and whether the author is qualified to write about it.

What is the name of the degree an undergraduate earns at a four year college?
horsena [70]
Assuming you pass every single year, you earn a Bachelor's Degree.

2 years= Associate's Degree
4 years= Bachelor's Degree
6 years=Master's Degree
8+ years= Doctoral Degree/Doctorate

These numbers may be off if you fail a credit, pass an AP exam, transfer credits, enroll in a dual enrollment program, undertake a minor, dual degree programs, etc.

The United States, Canada, and European countries all have comparable policies that distinguish between refugees and economic mi
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

It is important because it's the difference between giving and recieving.

Explanation:

The definition of refugees is "people fleeing conflict or persecution". The definition of economic migrants is "movement of people from one country to another to benefit from greater economic opportunities in the receiving country". The United States, Canada, and European countries turn refugees away because they are fleeing conflict, could potentially bring that conflict or cause conflict to the new place, and don't give back in a major way once they are granted permission to stay. Whereas, economic migrants are, mostly, not fleeing conflict so the place wouldn't have to fear foreign affairs and consequences, as well as the fact that the migrants will, in some way, give back to them in a way that benefits the place in multiple ways or a major way (such as giving back in the form of exceptional work or labor). This is why they have policies that distinguish between refugees and economic migrants - they want to invite in the people that will benefit them whilst keeping those who won't benefit them out.
