<u>Missouri Compromise was a legislation through which two news states became Part of United State.</u> The Free State among them was Maine and Slave state was Missouri. United States passed this legislation in 1920. But a year before that, in 1939 when Missouri bill was presented to be added in United States as a Slave State, many objected to this because this will bring unbalance in the country because prior to Missouri’s request, Before this, United States had equal number of slave and Free states and that were 11 each. Missouri’s bill also included restrictions on slavery but it was objected by southerners because they opposed any bill which had restrictions on slavery as they wanted that the issue to Slavery to be looked upon and settled by the Constitution itself. On the other hand, when Free soil state Maine submitted petition for statehood, Senate was quickly to response on it as it linked both Maine and Missouri bills as t<u>his would make Maine enter as free state and Missouri as Slave state and balance between free and slave state will remain. </u>Sections 14 and 32 repeal the Missouri Compromise of 1820 by not admitting the Missouri into the union and not to legislate slavery into any state and also not to exclude it.
