The director wanted the actor on the stage to be slow paced. The actor should almost be still in the stage at first and then become energetic and louder towards the end of the speech. The facial expression of the actor also must change from sadness to anger and then go to madness at the end.

1. Hamlet experiences sorrow and regret during the speech and he finally feels despair when he pronounced his soliloquy.

2. Over the course of speech, Hamlet realized that the awe he feels is very small as compared to the burden of death that we all carry. Thus he should 'think bloody' form now onward.

3. By the Hamlet speech, the audience at first should feel sorry and bad for him and then the feeling should change when he concludes his speech.
