Answer:

20

Explanation:

You would set up a proportion in order to solve this

3 green           12 green

------------     =   ------------

8 total                x total

Then you would cross mulitply for x and get 32. Since that is the total number, you would have to subract the 12 from 32 to get 20.

If a(x) and b(x) are linear functions with one variable, which of the following expressions produces a quadratic function? (ab)(
Ivanshal [37]

For this case we have that by definition, a linear function is of the form y = mx + b

If we have that a and b are linear functions, then they are of the form:

a (x) = mx + b\\b (x) = nx + c

If we multiply them we have: (Applying distributive property)

(mx + b) (nx + c) = (m * n) x ^ 2 + mcx + bnx + bc = (mn) x ^ 2 + (mc + bn) x + bc

That is, we get a quadratic function.

Answer:

(ab) (x)

Compare and contrast urban culture in the Gilded Age to Puritan culture in the Colonial Era.
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

The Gilded Age is the latter half of the 19th century, when an increase in production and wealth drove many more people to live in urban areas than had ever before. The middle class gained more wealth and sought to live like the elite upper class. ... Puritans lived in small settlements and avoided excess wealth.
