How does river Nile benefit and threat the people of Egypt?
N76 [4]

Answer:

Benefit: The Romans introduced the sakia 2,300 years ago and they are still used today to raise water from underground wells. Some farmers now use electrical pumps to take water from the Nile onto farmland. Crops grown along the Nile and fish caught in the river provide food for the people of Egypt.

Threat: Despite its importance, the Nile is still heavily polluted in Egypt by waste water and rubbish poured directly into it, as well as agricultural runoff and industrial waste, with consequences for biodiversity, especially fishing and human health.

Why did the united states enter the war in its last years after remaining neutral at the outset?
LekaFEV [45]

On December 11, 1941, the United States entered World War II. Mobilization began on December 8, 1941, when the United States declared war on Japan, one day after the Pearl Harbor assaults.

  • The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor prompted the United States of America to enter World War II. However, prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States took an indirect role in the war by selling munitions with Allied countries such as Britain. President Franklin D. Roosevelt perceived Nazi Germany as a threat to the United States and believed that arming the Allied democracies in Europe was important.
  • The United States began the war neutral, but ideologically supported the Allies. Although Congress did not initially approve military force against the Axis, the passage of the Lend-Lease Act was the first step toward entering World War II. While transporting Lend-Lease supplies to the Allies, the USS Greer was assaulted by Germans, prompting President Roosevelt to declare a shoot-on-sight policy.
  • The real, direct military engagement began only after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Japanese provocation prompted Congress to vote virtually overwhelmingly to declare war on Japan. Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany, declared war on the United States shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. These events resulted in America's direct military involvement in both the European and Pacific theaters, finally leading to the Axis countries' demise.

In Great Britain, which circumstance was the result of the other three?
Lisa [10]

Answer:

the start of the Industrial Revolution

Explanation:

By the time of the Industrial Revolution, there were more people than ever before. A main reason for this was 18th century agricultural improvements, which all but ended the periodic famines that had kept down European populations. From 1750 to 1850, the population of England alone nearly tripled.

How do stars create black holes in outer space?
algol [13]
When a star burns through the last of its fuel, the object may collapse, or fall into itself. For smaller stars (those up to about three times the sun's mass), the new core will become a neutron star or a white dwarf. But when a larger star collapses, it continues to compress and creates a stellar black hole.
