I think that the school should not accept the $2,000,000 for the ad. I wouldn’t choose to accept the money for the ad, not only because the school cannot say no, but because I believe that there may be an ad that the school may not want. If the ad goes public, it could ruin the school’s reputation or cause other problems in the future. You cannot buy integrity.

Read the following excerpt from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s First Inaugural Address.
rosijanka [135]

Answer: B. by using an allusion to describe the universal problem of conflict.

Explanation:

Roosevelt communicated his intentions by using an allusion to describe the universal problem of conflict.

Allusion refers to the implied or indirect reference to something. Here, Roosevelt made his intentions known as he assumed the leadership of the army by making an indirect reference to the point that there's a dedicated attack to their common problems.

Why is Franklin’s “The Way to Wealth” often referred to as a “secular sermon”?
Alex Ar [27]
I also think the correct answer is D. It uses religious stories and imagery to communicate modern ideals.
Secular means related to this world, something that doesn't have anything to do with religion or the Church. So I guess the final option best fits that description given that Franklin's speeches weren't intended to be religious, but rather didactic and teach people proper behavior.
