Which of these is a good strategy for reducing your cable TV bill?
kirill [66]

Answer: E: all of the above except choice D.

Explanation: Choice D is just down horrendous.

From personal experience, choice A is a good one because there are many cable / satellite packages. For example, one of America's leading providers, Dish, also known as Dish Network, has four main packages at different monthly prices. Here are the main packages listed, without taxes, etc:

America's Top 120 - $64.99/mo.

America's Top 120 Plus - $79.99/mo.

America's Top 200 - $89.99/mo.

America's Top 250 - $99.99/mo.

Of course this is just for a two year contract, but onto the others.

For choice B, bundling does indeed help save the customer money, as learned with my grandmother's AT&T bill. They combined internet + phone as they don't have cable or satellite, but it helps them save a good amount per month on their bill.

For choice C, I will substitute "Redbox", or DVD renting, for streaming services. Most services are around $7-$20 per month. HBO Max for example, is $14.99 per month, which is just one available package. Other services such as Netflix and Hulu have a couple different packages and add-ons. As the years have gone by, more and more people have started paying for streaming services, and many have even cut off cable completely! Cable and satellite TV can be extremely expensive as shown above on the answer for choice A with the Dish Network example. That wasn't even with taxes and equipment fees for the Hopper and Joey DVR boxes.

All in all, anything except choice D will help you reduce your cable TV bill. Sorry for the long explanation, I just have vast knowledge about this topic!

kap26 [50]
In 1977, in the Midwest, there was millions of dollars of destruction from a tornado that lasted seven hours.

Since the subject here is the Midwest which is singular the linking verb should agree with the subject as singular thus, was.

Further example,
The sentence that includes an error in the subject-verb agreement is:

A. Either June or her children are going to the movie tonight.

This sentence should read:
Neither June nor her children are going to the movie tonight.
"Nor" and "neither" go together and they are the negative form of "or" and "either". "Or and "either" are the positive form of "nor" and "neither".
A good example of using "or" and "either" is the following sentence:You can either run or cycle to the shops.
