Which sentence is written in standard English?

English
1 answer:
erik [133]3 years ago
7 0

Answer: I believe the answer is, “The treasurer does not want us to have to ask us for our dues again.

Explanation: This is because “The sun was more brighter yesterday than it was today.” It written in nonstandard English and has improper grammar. “Freddy should of told us he could not meet us at the studio” also uses nonstandard English because while it looks mostly correct this sentence is written more conversationally. And for the last one it is also written conversationally

Hope this helps.

(Edit- p.s i also just finished up the test and it was correct.)

14. My teacher takes........................................at 7.30a.m every day. *
AnnZ [28]

Answer: B. attendance

Definition:

<u>Attend</u>: A verb that means be present at some event.

<u>Attendance</u>: A noun that means the state of being present.

<u>Register</u>: A noun or a verb that represents an official record or the action of recording.

<u>Regist</u>: It is not a word

Explanation:

"My teacher takes __________ at 7:30 a.m everyday."

This sentence might mean that the teacher needs to note down who is present and who is not. Also, the sentence shows a sense of [takes something], therefore, the blank should be a noun.

From the clues we get, "a noun" and "who is present and who is not", the word should be "<u>attendance</u>".

Hope this helps!! :)
