The greeting was stench
This stench came from various sources including but not limited to sweat, blood, dead bodies, fecal matter, urine, and other various sources, and they mixed together to be a "greeting" for Equiano who had never experienced anything like that before he was taken into slavery and put into the ship. He explains how he only wanted to die because of that.
A) Rosa Parks actions sparked the Montgomery bus boycott. She was forced to move to the back of the bus to give her seat up for a white woman, but refused to. During this time period in the South, African Americans were supposed to sit in the back of the bus, and could only sit in the front of the bus if no Whites were on the bus at the same time.
