Probably the companies that joined in marketing "personal computers" to consumers. That is when computers became smaller,more easily accessible, and people started to buy them for their homes. Before that, computers were gigantic things that only companies could afford. IBM, Apple, and Bill Gates and his software were some of the people who helped.
