Answer:

5/96

Step-by-step explanation:

Fraction used to buy new books = 5/8

Amount for book money = 1/12 of amount of adult novels

Part used for adult movies = 1/12 * 5/8

Part used for adult movies = 5/96

Hence the  part of the budget that went towards buying young adult novels is 5/96

What is the solution of the system?
Kryger [21]
Greetings!

Solve the System, using Elimination:
\left \{ {{4x+2y=18} \atop {2x+3y=15}} \right.

Multiply Equation #2 by 2:
\left \{ {{4x+2y=18} \atop {2(2x+3y)=2(15)}} \right.

\left \{ {{4x+2y=18} \atop {4x+6y=30}} \right.

Eliminate variable x:
-\frac{ \left \{ {{4x+2y=18} \atop {4x+6y=30}} \right.}{0x-4y=-12}

4y=-12

Divide both sides by 4:
\frac{4y}{4}= \frac{12}{4}

y=3

Input this value into one of the Equations:
4x+2y=18

4x+2(3)=18

Simplify:
4x+6=18

(4x+6)+(-6)=(18)+(-6)

4x=12

Divide both sides by 4.
\frac{4x}{4}= \frac{12}{4}

x=3

The Solution to this System (The Point of Intersection):
\boxed{(3,3)}

I hope this helped!

need help to determine if it's a undefined slope or it is a slope of line and what's the answer please and thank you
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

It is slope of a line which is 4

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the given points are generated by a linear function. A linear function is ta straight line that can be represented by:

y = mx+b

Here m is the slope

The slope of a line is given by the formula:

m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

In order to find the slope from the table we take any two pairs of inputs and outputs i.e. x and y

So here we take

(x1,y1) = (-6,-16)

(x2,y2) = (-5,-12)

Putting the values in the formula

m = \frac{-12-(-16)}{-5-(-6)}\\m = \frac{-12+16}{-5+6}\\m = \frac{4}{1}\\m = 4

Hence,

It is slope of a line which is 4

Answer:

RS = 15 and RT = 18, then ST = 3!   :D

Step-by-step explanation:r = 1 --> s=15 & t=18 so st = 270

r = 3 --> s = 5 & t = 6 so st = 30

r = 5 --> s = 3 & t = 3.6 so st = 10.8

etc

==============

In literal terms:

s = 15/r

t = 18/r

Hope this helped, I'm just in middle school but I'm sure of this! :D
