URGENT,how successfully did elizabeth I deal with the threat of invasion,45 POINTS
nydimaria [60]
, Elizabeth was very successful in dealing with threats to her throne, thanks to her advisors such as Lord Burghley. She was also a determined and clever woman, who always made wise decisions as evidenced by the way she handled her marriage. Her decision to use ‘Middle Way’ to deal with the conflict between the Protestants and Catholics had saved her from the possibility of a civil war. The victory over the ‘invincible’ Spanish Armada was another proof of her intelligence.

What is the name given to products grown on plantations? R_____ M____
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

A plantation economy is an economy based on agricultural mass production, usually of a few commodity crops grown on large farms called plantations. Plantation economies rely on the export of cash crops as a source of income. Prominent crops included cotton, rubber, sugar cane, tobacco, figs, rice, kapok, sisal, and species in the genus Indigofera, used to produce indigo dye.

The longer a crop's harvest period, the more efficient plantations become. Economies of scale are also achieved when the distance to market is long. Plantation crops usually need processing immediately after harvesting. Sugarcane, tea, sisal, and palm oil are most suited to plantations, while coconuts, rubber, and cotton are suitable to a lesser extent.

Why were tariffs an issue?
Marat540 [252]

Its purpose was to generate revenue for the federal government (to run the government and to pay the interest on its debt), and also to act as a protective barrier around newly starting domestic industries. An import tax set by tariff rates was collected by treasury agents before goods could be unloaded at U.S. ports.
