Read the excerpt from "Early Victorian Tea Set.” But a loving, tranquil cup of tea has a violent hinterland. When all tea came i

nto Europe from China, the British East India Company traded opium for silver and used that silver to buy tea. The trade was so important that it brought the two countries to war. The first of the conflicts, which we still refer to as the Opium Wars – they were in fact just as much about tea – broke out more or less as our teapot was leaving the Wedgwood factory. Partly because of these difficulties with China, in the 1830s the British set up plantations in the area around Calcutta and Indian tea was exempted from import duty to encourage demand. What is the author’s viewpoint in this excerpt? England’s demand for tea encouraged international cooperation. England’s demand for tea caused conflict around the world. Britain planted tea in China because Britain was at war with India. Britain traded silver to buy tea, which resulted in high taxes.

What's the difference betweeen a male and female? Mentally
IgorLugansk [536]

there is a saying that a man's ego is just as fragile as a woman's heart.

contrary to belief, men and women are still similar mentally despite stereotype that women are more emotional or that men are more impatient.

studies show that women are mentally more empathetic and coherent than men, and it proves as a skill ; women are often teachers, doctors/nurses. This is because both sides of the brain develop earlier as a foetus in females than males.

However, studies show it is true that males are more advanced in maths and geometry while females are more advanced in language and fine motor skills e.g. handwriting, creativity. This can be shown from an early age until puberty, when the brain changes.

Girls often change earlier than boys, when they become faster and more accurate in communication. Boys catch up, but develop other skills since men and women sometimes use different parts of the brain for the same function e.g. working out arithmetic challenges.

Men and women are both able to perform tasks, and although they are both very much equal and balanced mentally; there are women who are professors and men who are linguists- there is no determining the level of difference in each individual.

What are problems that the German hitler youth had ?
Rashid [163]

Answer:

Here.

Explanation:

The impact of Nazi actions and policies on young people

The quality and breadth of education in schools deteriorated. Academic subjects were most affected.

There were very few co-educational schools.

Girls educational opportunities decreased. Their curriculum was limited to home-making subjects and very few went to university by 1939.

Jewish children were persecuted at school and then excluded.

Young people got to experience a range of new activities, like hiking weekends, in the Hitler Youth. They helped with the collection and distribution of clothing and food for the poor in winter. Some were chosen to stand guard outside Hitler’s offices.

They had more freedom from their parents. Slogans like “Youth must be led by youth” appealed to them.
