There are many steps to take into account while searching.
1 Keywords: try to type your search in a complete way. So you can narrow it. If you just type a few words, it would take you longer to find what you are looking for
2. Truncation: you might resort to using * to expand your search. You should place it before the word you type. example: make up *tutorials.
3. Exact phrases: you can "ask" the search engine to look for the exact words you type.
4. The OR and -: you can define words or phrases using quotation marks "". When using - you can exclude a word or phrase.
5. Site: if you know a site where you can find what you are looking for, you might enter there before doing a general search.

What is the difference between the table of contents of a book and its index?

What information is contained in a Reader's Guide entry?

Why would you use Who's Who?

What would you go to a reference librarian for?

Explanation answer..Begin with a broad keyword or key phrase in order to see what type of information is available. Then choose a term or phrase that’s more specific to your particular topic, making your search as specific as possible so that it won’t yield millions of results. Your goal is to locate information that will inform and support your particular topic.

The table of contents is in the front of a book and usually contains broad chapter headings. The index, in the back of the book, is an alphabetical listing of all topics mentioned in the book.

Title of the article, author’s name, magazine, volume number, pages, and month and year the magazine was published
