I know this may sound very out of the box but what I feel is intresting which you could add that a tragic accident happened to the parents and now he feels like he has lost everything and he slowly starts spending more time with the girl and discovers that their bond of friendship is getting stronger and he needed a friend just like her to make him get out of these tough times.
