This is a ecological issue by having the not native palms getting infected by fungus this can lead to the palm trees to get extinct in the area. Not having the palms taken care of makes this more likely to happen.

Its relating to conservation by us not wanting the palm trees to be infected by the fungus. We want to prevent this happening.

Its a problem for the local area because the trees will eventually die down and we won’t have any left for tourist or for just having them.

You can prevent bud rot by watering your palm trees at the base instead of using overhead irrigation. Fungicides containing copper might help prevent bud rot from developing if a palm tree was exposed to the disease. Continue applying the fungicide as new tissues develop.
