Which of the following statements is true regarding the impact the fur trade had on american Indians?
Neporo4naja [7]

Question 1:

Answer: b) Many tribes became dependent on the items that the europeans were trading.

While colonialism brought enormous conflict between colonists and Native tribes, they also cooperated to a large extent. One of the main examples is that of trade. Trade gave both the colonists and the Natives objects they could not themselves produce. Some tribes became very dependent on some items, such as guns, horses and textiles.

Question 2:

Answer: c) Horses.

Different Indian tribes had different lifestyles, and they were affected to a different extent by new European items. However, in the case of Plains Indians, horses completely altered their way of living. Having gotten their first horses from Spanish settlers, they became outstanding horsemen. Horses also fitted their nomadic way of life, being very useful for hunting (in particular buffalo) and for moving across large territories.

Step One: Study these two maps and answer the questions that follow.
finlep [7]

Answer:

Step One: Study these two maps and answer the questions that follow.

This map shows the Western expansion of the United States.

This map highlights the different states that are rich in gold, oil, and coal resources. Some states have more than one natural resource.

Describe events that explain the border differences between these maps. Use information from the maps and the lesson in your response. Use complete sentences.

There are clear differences in territorial borders. The United States gained not only the land in its expansion but the authority that goes with it.

Besides land, what did the United States gain from expansion? Use information from the maps and the lesson in your response. Use complete sentences.

Access to the Pacific Ocean, it could be used as protection from invasion or used as a trade route to the Eastern Hemisphere.

Step Two: Answer the question below using the framework provided.

People disagree whether the United States should have gone to war against Mexico. Should the United States have declared war? Consider information from the lesson and maps to explain your claim with at least two reasons.

The United States should have declared war because there were many mixed relationships between the US and Mexico. A second reason is The us wanted Texas to help complete the idea of Manifest Destiny.

Step Three: Form your counterargument using the framework provided.

Reporter McQuill mentions your claim will be stronger if you respond well to someone who disagrees with you. Use this framework to challenge a counterclaim.

Even though some people think that the fact that the United States won is a reason to celebrate, it is also true that this victory has likely led to worse diplomatic relations with Mexico.
