5 0

Answer:

0 moles of F2

Explanation:

The equation of the reaction is given as;

3F2 + S ---> SF6

From the reaction above;

3 moles of F2 requires 1 mol of S to form 1 mole of SF6

How many moles of F2 would then require 3 mol of S ?

3 = 1

x = 3

x = 3 * 3 / 1 = 9 / 1 = 9 moles of F2

There would be no moles of F2 left as everything would be used up in the reaction.

Which aqueous solution of Kl freezes at the lowest temperature?
shtirl [24]
The correct answer is B.
Lowering of the freezing point can be a colligative property. The greatest concentration of mass of salt in the water will have what we call the lowest freezing point.
For example the least amount of water in the greatest amount of salt.

5. given the ratio of reactants, what is the possibility of obtaining di- and polychlorinated product? explain.
Vladimir79 [104]

The ratio of reactants is chlorination of 2,3 dimethyl butane the possibility of obtaining do and the polychlorinated product is not seen.

When a mixture of methane and chlorine is exposed to ultraviolet light a substitution reaction occurs and the organic product is chloromethane. Because there are various hydrogen atoms that can be extracted in the first propagation step.

Abstraction of a hydrogen atom from the middle carbon of propane results in 2-chloropropane. In the presence of sunlight, methane reacts with chlorine to form chloromethane. The chlorination of methane is a free radical substitution reaction. Chlorine cannot turn into free radicals in the dark, so no reaction takes place. Therefore, the presence of sunlight is essential for the reaction to proceed.

DESCRIBE THE FINAL TEMPERATURE AFTER DIFFUSION
frez [133]

Answer:

Simple Diffusion

In basic terms, diffusion can be defined as the process by which particles spread out. This is generally from an area where they are high in concentration to an area where they are in a lower concentration. This can be understood by thinking of a pan with onions cooking in it. The smell given off by the onions is very concentrated in the top of the pan, above the cooking onions. The molecules, therefore, move into an area when they are in lower concentration, such as the surrounding air. Eventually, the smell spreads throughout the kitchen or even the entire home.

Mixing Diffusion

If two different gases or liquids are close to each other, the process of diffusion causes them to mix together. Imagine two gases separated by a partition. The free-moving gas molecules bounce off the central partition as they whirl around in their container. If the partition is removed, the gases mix as the molecules move around. This is related to the second law of thermodynamics, which states that in a closed system, all things tend toward entropy. “Entropy,” for this purpose, can simply be defined as disorder; therefore, unmixed particles in a closed system tend to mix, or diffuse.

Lithium reacts more slowly with cold water than sodium.
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

1. Increase in the temperature of the water

2. Increasing the surface area of the lithium

Explanation:

1. Increase in the temperature of the water

The activation energy for the lithium water reaction is +161 kJ/mol while the activation energy for the sodium is +109 kJ/mol, hence for increased reaction rate, the water temperature will be raised to enable more lithium atoms enter into reaction with the water molecules as their energy is increased lowering the activation energy required for the reaction.

2. Increasing the surface area of the lithium

As the lithium floats on the water, due to its low temperature and the heat evolved from the reaction of lithium with the cold water is below the melting point of lithium, the reaction rate can be increased by increasing the surface area of lithium sample by grinding so as to increase the number of lithium water reaction sites.
