Answer:

A) Maddie can determine the syllabic division, pronunciation, definition, etymology, part of speech, singular spelling, and plural spelling.

Explanation:

The online rhetorical dictionary includes information about the syllabic division when we see how the word is broken into syllables. The pronunciation is also written as "əˈsindəˌtän". The definition is included and followed by the etymology (origin) of the word. Asyndeton is listed as a noun and it clearly shows its singular and plural spelling.

From the reference material, Maddie can determine:

The syllabic division (<em>a-syn-de-ton</em>), pronunciation (<em>əˈsindəˌtän</em>), definition (<em>the omission or absence...</em>), etymology (<em>modern Latin, from greek terms</em>), singular (<em>asyndeton</em>) and plural (<em>asyndeta</em>) spelling, making option A the most accurate.

How are novels and short stories different?
kvasek [131]

Answer:

The main difference is in length. Short stories generally range anywhere from 1,500 to 30,000 words whereas novels start from about 50,000 words.

A short story has one main character and the story is told from that character's point of view, mainly first person. A novel has a cast of characters and the story can be told from any of those characters' viewpoints.

Plz help me What text structure is this? It was the most beautiful banana split that I had ever seen. In the middle of the bowl,
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

The text structure found in this passage is: D. descriptive.

Explanation:

When an author uses a descriptive text structure, his/her purpose is to create a vivid image of something in readers' minds. In this case, the author wants us to be able to picture how beautiful the banana split was. He/She gives us a detailed illustration of the ingredients, their positions and order, their flavors. Words such as "thick web" and "huge puff" add to the imagery, allowing us to truly see it in our minds, those adjectives supporting our imagination.
