With which statement below would Thoreau most agree?
Yuki888 [10]

Answer: A person should refuse to follow laws that are unjust.

Explanation:

Henry David Thoreau was for all intents and purposes, a philosopher. His writings on various topics including the need to disobey the government when it passes unjust acts have been cited as influences for other movements.

Henry Thoreau was an abolitionist and as such was against slavery. He was also against the Mexican-American war and was thrown in jail one day for refusing to pay taxes when the U.S. government pursed the aforementioned policies.

He would therefore most likely agree that people should refuse to follow laws that are unjust.
