Hi Aileen,

Thank you for reaching out to me! Since I have a grandmother myself, I know that she personally finds sewing to be a great hobby. Getting a sewing machine could make her more engaged with activities, and even create great articles of clothing for you! I honestly don’t believe that a mobile phone would be the best purchase, since I am assuming she is more comfortable with her hold fashioned style. A handbag could be nice, but again I think touching her sense of style wouldn’t be the best idea. I hope this helped you get an idea on what to get for her birthday, good luck Aileen!

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Aileen,

It's wonderful of you to be so thoughtful to buy a gift for your grandmother on her birthday. Of course all your suggestions were pretty amazing for a sweet old lady like her, but I'll like to give you some suggestions as well. You could buy her a nice dress or a warm cardigan as winter's coming pretty soon. Or you could buy her a pair of cozy slippers. Maybe you could buy a medication reminder clock - which I believe is highly essential for the elderly. Thank you so much for asking about my suggestions and I'm always here to help! Stay safe and I hope you are doing good.

Gary

Which sentence best uses sensory language to describe the setting?
Cerrena [4.2K]

B. I gazed at the bright blue sky and the trees filled with lush green foliage.

Sensory details are descriptions that apply to the five sense (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell). In Option B, the sense that is appealed to is the sense of sight. The sky is described as a bright blue and the trees are described as being lush, full of thick leaves. These details help to put a picture in the reader's mind. The other options sometimes give detailed information but they are about the characters inner thoughts. These are not sensory details.

Which sentence best explains the significance of the novels title the grapes of wrath
Marina86 [1]

I would say that the answer might be c) Steinbeck compares the migrants anger to the grapes ready to be harvested and it is also appeal to the Gods to bring to justice those responsible for wreaking havoc on the land and people. This was in relation to the dustbowl conditions caused during the 1930's in the US and its toll on the grape harvests in California and the migrant workers who picked the grapes.
