Answer:

The value of  x = \frac{1}{6}

The length of the rectangle   = \frac{3}{2} cm

The width of the rectangle  = \frac{16}{3} cm

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Step(i):-</em></u>

Given that area of the rectangle = 8 cm²

Length of the rectangle (l) = 3x+1

width of the rectangle (w) = 2x+5

The area of the rectangle = length × width

Given that area of the rectangle = 8 cm²

<u><em>Step(ii):-</em></u>

Now

                   (3x+1) ( 2x+5)    = 8

       ⇒      3x(2x+5) +1(2x+5) =8

                    6 x² + 15x + 2x +5 =8

         ⇒     6 x² + 17x -3 =0

        ⇒      6 x² + 18x -x -3 =0

       ⇒   6 x ( x+3) -1(x+3) =0

       ⇒   6x -1 =0  and  x +3 =0

              6x = 1  and   x =-3

             x = \frac{1}{6}

The length of the rectangle

                               = 3 (\frac{1}{6} ) +1 \\= \frac{3}{2}

The width of the rectangle

                            = 2 (\frac{1}{6} ) +5

                            = \frac{16}{3}

Find x and show how (pleasee i need help asap)
shusha [124]

Answer: x=45

Step-by-step explanation:

60/120=x/90

1/2=x/90

Given that you know that x is gonna be half 90.

So 45. Then plug it in

60/120=45/90

1/2=1/2

Or do it like

60 = x

120 90

5400=120x

Then divide 120 by 5400

5400÷120=45

If y varies directly as x and y = 36 when x=9 find the value of y when x=3
Temka [501]
I think the answer is 12

because
y=36, x=9
y=?, x=3
so you divide 36 by 3 to get the other y

 Hope this helps

Greatest common factor of 12, 60, and 68
Katyanochek1 [597]
To calculate the GCF, you need to list all the prime numbers that will go into each number listed

12: 2, 2, 3
60: 2, 2, 3 5
68: 2,2,17

Now you circle the numbers that are the same in each.

GCF: 2, 2

Multiply these numbers to find the GCF: 4

For what value of x is angle 1 complementary to angle 2, if m angle 1=5x+4 and m angle 2=7x+2?
belka [17]

<span>Two </span>Angles<span> <span>are </span></span>Complementary<span> <span>when they add up to 90 degrees (a Right </span></span>Angle). They don't have to be next to each other, just so long as the total is 90 degrees.

So (5x + 4) + ( 7x + 2) = 90

12x + 6 = 90

12x = 90 – 6

12x = 84

<span>X = 7</span>

Squares square roots, perfect square
melamori03 [73]
The perfect squares are 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 144, 169. You know a number is a perfect square when there is a whole number that can be multiplied by itself to get the number. Example: 25= 5x5
Hope that helps if you need a better explanation let me know.
