If you want to keep your school clean, you can rub your feet on the mat as soon as you enter, so you are not chasing soil and leaves. Please throw away all garbage in the trash can. Please recycle any available programs, if any. To keep the classroom clean, be sure to discard after use. When you have lunch, please make sure your table is clean before you leave the dining room and push the chair. Please keep reading on tips for planning deep cleaning activities for school.

Choose the pair that best completes the analogy.
jonny [76]
The answer is c. courtroom : lawyer.

The original analogy, football field : head coach, is comparing a workplace to a profession that would work in that workplace. A, B, and D don't fit that description (A is comparing two similar professions, B is comparing a job with a task that person would do, and D is comparing two people) so C is your best option (it, too, follows the format of workplace : profession.)

Hope this helps!

What kind of figurative language is in, Then Haste Thee, time-- 'tis kindness all... Thou fliest and bear'st away our woes?
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

It is indeed hyperbole and not personification. this is because the poet is asking Time to take away all his woes and laying the weight of wings of kindness on it.

Explanation:

Hyperbole is when a simple act is laden with something blown out of proportion. here, the simple passage of time is said by the poet to be responsible for taking away his problems through its kindness, when the time is passing irrespective of his woes and does nothing else but pass.

it would have been personification if the winged feet of time in the quotation given, did not speed because of kindness. the human qualities are laid on time by the poet and are not presented as a foregone conclusion. hence, it is more accurate to see this as hyperbole.
