Answer:

Plants use soil nutrients in their metabolic processes, but these nutrients are not eternal, so as the plant consumes nutrients from the soil, the stock of these nutrients will decrease, so it is necessary to let the soil "rest" for a while, so you can restore nutrient levels.

One way to do this is to use the agricultural technique called "Landing," which is the method of planting that divides the land into three parts: two cultivated parts and one at rest. The rest part remains without planting for the recovery of its nutrients for about a season. Then there is a relay between the areas.

Answer:

The farmer should rotate between different crops, and tend to them to ensure that the soil stays nutrient and fertile. If the land has already lost nutrient you should let if lie fallow to regain nutrients

Explanation:

Crop rotation helps to maintain soil structure and nutrient levels and to prevent soil borne pests from getting a foothold in the garden. When a single crop is planted in the same place every year, the soil structure slowly deteriorates as the same nutrients are used time and time again.

Letting the soil lie fallow will help the soil re-gain its nutrients as it restores its fertility as part of a crop rotation or to avoid surplus production. Hope this helps
