The current state of the US economy is in growing strength with respects to the former cabinet. Globalization is affecting the US economy. Primarily through technology and social feeds. We are in the information Era. As far as jobs, off shoring in our economy was once always a viable option. Now that we have a president who insists on the "American Made" branding has emboldened some companies to minimize their operations abroad and increase facilities at home. I work on software, and my job requires me to be in a wireless world. It is hard to compete with companies who hire third party IT hosts in other countries because it is simply cheaper. But, I find other means for work.

On December 31, 2019, Hamilton Inc. sold a used industrial crane for $600,000 cash. The original cost of the crane was $5.0 mill
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

Loss of $200,000

Explanation:

Cost of Crane:                            $5,000,000

Accumulated Depreciation:         4,200,000

Difference                                         800,000

Sale of Crane                                    600,000

LOSS                                                  200,000

This would be a loss because Hamilton did not receive enough cash on the sale of the crane to cover its initial cost for the crane. Since we do not have a salvage value listed, this answer is based on the assumption that the salvage value of the crane is $800,000. (Gain or loss is calculated by determining if the cash received on the sale of the item - in this case, the crane - is more (gain), less (loss), or equal (equal) to the salvage value. Based on the assumption that the salvage value is the remaining $800,000, this would mean a loss to Hamilton since they only received $600,000 for the sale of the crane).

Following her 18th birthday, Madison began investing $24 at the end of each week in an account earning 7% per year compounded we
Deffense [45]

Answer:

The answer is $26.80.

Explanation:

*Some inputs for the calculation as below:

One year period has 52 weeks

=> At the time she turns 68, she will have: (68-18) x 52 = 2,600 equal weekly cash flows; At the time she turns 47, she will have: (47-18) x 52 = 1,508 equal weekly cash flows.

* Present value of the investment plan lasting until she turns 68:

[ 24 / (7%:52) ] x [ 1 - (1+ (7%/52)^(-2,600) ] = $17,289.

* To have the same retirement nest egg at age 68, the present value of the investment plan lasting until she turns 47 should be equal to $17,289. Denote x is the weekly investment under the shorter investment scenario, we have:

[x / (7%:52) ] x [ 1 - (1+ (7%/52)^(-1,508) ] = $17,289 <=> x = $26.80.

Nikitich [7]

Answer:

1. IRR = 14%

2. NPV = 3.239

3. 12%

Explanation:

The IRR is the discount rate that equates the after tax cash flows from an investment to the amount invested in a project.

NPV is the present value of after tax cash flows from an investment less the amount invested

NPV and IRR can be calculated using a financial calculator

Cash flow in year zero = -137,320

Cash flow each year from year 1 to zero = 40,000

I = 14%

IRR = 14%

NPV = 3.239

If cash in flow each year from year 1 ro 5 was $38,090, the IRR = 12%

To find the NPV using a financial calacutor:

1. Input the cash flow values by pressing the CF button. After inputting the value, press enter and the arrow facing a downward direction.

2. After inputting all the cash flows, press the NPV button, input the value for I, press enter and the arrow facing a downward direction.

3. Press compute

To find the IRR using a financial calacutor:

1. Input the cash flow values by pressing the CF button. After inputting the value, press enter and the arrow facing a downward direction.

2. After inputting all the cash flows, press the IRR button and then press the compute button.
