Well, i guess you could be on his side and say something like "The narrator couldn't control what he was doing because of the eye and the sound of the mans heart beating in his ears". This is what drove him to committing the murder along with confessing it as well.

Hello my fellow readers I will be choosing the sun for this little assignment. If I was going to be looking for good research about the sun I will make sure to be specific for example " Why is the sun a star of energy

" "How did the sun find its home in space " The source I would use when searching for this kind of stuff is gogle. I will make sure I choose a good looking website. And I would put what I found in quotations from the author.

Document that absolved people from sin; originally granted in exchange for services or donations to the church
Digiron [165]

Answer:

Indulgences

Explanation:

In a simple way, we can say that the indulgences represented the sale of pardons that the early Catholic Church promoted. These indulgences were a type of document that absolved people from sin by paying or donating goods to the church, such as property and precious metals. This practice was carried out between the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the modern era and marks a time of religious abuse. Indulgences were one of the reasons that stimulated the Protestant reformation.

What evidence from "to build a fire" might lead you to this inference?the man thinks too highly of his abilities?
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

The answer to the question: What evidence from "To Build a Fire" might lead you to this inference: The man thinks too highly of his abilities?, would be, the fact that he decides to disregard the warnings given to him by others regarding the danger of the cold winter, and the fact that he pretends to cross through frozen land with not much more than a few matches, and a poor following dog. In the end, nothing is enough and the man finds no means of warming himself up, dying of hypothermia.

Explanation:

"To Build a Fire" is a short story that was written by Jack London and it was presented in two versions: one in 1902 and one, the better known one, in 1908. In the second version, the better known, the unknown man of the story decideds to face the cold winter, with very little, because he wants to reach a group of prospectors. The only thing this man decides to consider taking with him, aside from a few matches, and his clothes, is a husky dog. The story portrays the way that the lack of wisdom of man contrasts against the wisdom of nature, shown through the good instincts of the animal. In the end, the man dies, having not listened to his instincts and believing that his abilities were more than they truly were.
