Which graph represents the function on the interval [-3,3] <br> F(x)=[x]-2
julia-pushkina [17]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

Shown below

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

The most famous of the step functions is the greatest integer function, which is denoted by the parent function [x].

So, this function is defined as:

f(x)=[x] \ the \ greatest \ integer \ less \ than \ or \ equal \ to \ x.

These are the characteristics of this function:

  • The domain of the function is the set of all real numbers.
  • The range of the function is the set of all integers.
  • The graph has a y-intercept at (0,0) and x-intercept in the interval [0,1)
  • The graph is constant between each pair of consecutive integers.
  • The graph jumps vertically one unit at each integer value.

The function F(x)=[x]-2 represents the parent function shifted 2 units downward. Therefore, the correct option has been chosen in the attached figure.

What are true bearings and how can they be calculated/read?
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

Compass bearings use the four directions on a compass in order to find the direction of one object from another. An example is N20°E. True bearings use the number of degrees measured clockwise from north an object is. An Example is 120°T.

PLEASE HELP ME FAST! THIS IS A SIMPLE TRIG PROBLEM BUT I SKIPPED CLASS.
NikAS [45]

we can factor the whole thing:

(2sin(x) -1)(sin(x)+1) = 0.

Therefore, sin(x) = -1 and sin(x) = 1/2.

For the first one x = 3π/2 and the second is π/6 and 5π/6

So 3π/2, π/6 and 5π/6 are the solutions.

I do kind of have a problem with this because it doesn't mention if you should go over 360°. Otherwise, you have to add in an 2nπ into the equations like 3π/2 + 2nπ; n \in \mathbb{W}

but I don't know if that is necessary for you.
