They also helped shape the public's opinion. I think political parties emerged even though most Americans opposed them because their are many people with strong opinions. When these people stood up for what they wanted, their were followers. Political factions or parties began to form during the struggle over ratification of the federal Constitution of 1787. Friction between them increased as attention shifted from the creation of a new federal government to the question of how powerful that federal government would be. Political parties formed during the Washington administration because of financial disagreements (the most prominent disagreement between Hamilton and Jefferson). However, the parties could be considered good, as well as bad, because different opinions were heard, but the country was somewhat divided.

After the events that took place after 9/11, the U.S invaded Afghanistan. But I don't remember hearing about an "alliance" but they did have some what a alliance with United Kingdom and the Taliban. See if you look back at history they blamed Osama Bin Laden for the attack on 9/11 so there is no way they had an alliance especially since Osama was wanted in the FBI. In fact the president back then (George W Bush) demanded the Taliban to hand over Osama but the Taliban wanted proof that Osama's involvement in 9/11

There was never an alliance with Osama Bin Laden.
