When you inhale (breathe in), air enters your lungs and oxygen from the air moves from your lungs to your blood. At the same time, carbon dioxide, a waste gas, moves from your blood to the lungs and is exhaled (breathe out). Hope this helps

In the laboratory, you have a beaker containing 100 milliliters (mL) of NaOH solution at pH = 13. Into this beaker, you carefull
romanna [79]

Answer:

d. The pH of the beaker`s contents will decrease.

Explanation:

Since the new substance is an acid and has a very low pH, that is 1. it will reduce a little bit the pH of the original base (NaOH). Some ions of hydrogen of the acid are going to react with the hydroxyl group of the sodium hydroxide to form water.

Since the differences of the volume is big, only a small part of the base is going to be neutralize, but at the end, the final pH of the solution is still going to be  a base.

Hope this information is useful.

What evidence is there that the o’higgins glacier is being affected by global warming?
Leno4ka [110]
<span>The distinct evidence of climate change in the O’Higgins glacier is proven by the measurement of the area that it covers. About 11.5 kilometers of glacier land has melted within the twentieth century. Satellite images reveal the retreat of glaciers where they compared early 1900s images from the present.

Mrs. Jones blood typing results showed agglutination with the plasma containing anti - B antibodies only. What is her blood type
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

Mrs Jones Blood type= B type.

Safe transfusion from: B and O blood type.

Explanation:

In the given example, the anti-B antibodies are present in the donor plasma.  Since anti-B antibodies react with B antigen present on the RBCs of blood, Mrs. Jones should have B antigen on the surface of her RBCs. The blood type with only B-antigen on the RBC's surface is blood type "B".

Hence, her blood type is "B" type which has B antigens that react with anti B antibodies of the donor plasma causing agglutination and hemolysis of RBCs.

She can get the blood of B and O blood types. Blood type O is a universal blood type as it does not have B or A antigens on the surface of its RBCs to initiate the agglutination.
