This is one time when I'm going to ignore my own #1 Cardinal Rule for answering questions on this site. Normally I'm totally against simply dumping an answer without explaining how I got it. In this case, however, I never found the short, easy, clever way to answer this one. They can’t be similar. Similar triangles have congruent corresponding angles, and two angles are given on each. Neither of those correspond to another on the opposite triangle. Basically, there’s no way to have three congruent angles, so they aren’t similar.
