Answer: D. Introducing the concept of democracy to the Athenians

Explanation:

Pericles was one of the most famous Athenians to ever live. He had many accomplishments during his life as such as how he defended democracy to a point where he even encouraged the paying of citizens to participate in public services.

He did so so that they would be more involved in public service which means that he put more power in the hands of the people. Pericles even allowed the poor to watch plays for free. He did not introduced democracy however, even though his fostered its great significantly.
