As part of a collaborative website project created by his English class and a World History class, Evan is writing an article on

the agriculture of ancient Greece and how agriculture influenced Greek colonization. Read this excerpt from the draft of one of Evan’s body paragraphs and answer the question.
The limitations of arable land caused the ancient Greeks to become a mobile civilization, expanding out into different territories through the process of colonization. In a similar fashion, their limited amount of pastureland affected the way they raised animals. The Greeks raised primarily sheep and goats, animals that could graze on sparse land and needed smaller amounts of pasture compared to cattle. Flocks were herded from the mountains in the summer to the valleys in the winter. Over time, this caused herding families to spread out in search of better and more plentiful pastureland as flocks increased. As a result, Greek culture and language spread far and wide as well.

Which words below would best serve as a heading for the above section?
1. The Effects of Available Pastureland on the Size of Greek Flocks
2. The Effects of Greek Culture on the Mobility of Greek Shepherds
3. The Effects of Available Pastureland on the Mobility of Greek Culture
4. The Effects of Mobility on the Variety of Greek Herd Animals

The words that would best serve as a heading for the above section are the one´s in option 3: The Effects of Available Pastureland on the Mobility of Greek Culture. Since the paragraph refers to a root of the need for better pastures for their animals, families disperse and cause the spread of their culture and language and the width of the territory.

What does comparing her life to her friend’s life suggest about Maya? Cite text evidence.
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

We can't see the text so I am just going to base it off the sentence in positive and negative ways. So, first Maya comparing her life to her friends may come off as negative becuase she might be jelous of her friend's life. The positive otcome could be she is observant, she notices the little differences or similarities in their families. But, overall I would suggest Maya is the jelous type.

During photorespiration, the phosphoglycolate (PGO) produced by RuBP oxygenation is eventually converted to PGA; 75% of the carb
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

B). Four.

Explanation:

Photorespiration is demonstrated as the respiratory process that involves a light-dependent release of carbon-dioxide and uptake of oxygen in photosynthetic organisms that helps in completing the Calvin cycle.

As per the question, 'four' molecules of PGO(phosphoglycolate) is required to produce the two molecules of PGA through the given route as one-fourth of them are lost during the process in the form of Carbon-dioxide due to the chain of reactions. Thus, option B is the correct answer.
