Answer:

Negritude is the literary and intellectual movement that developed in Paris among the black writers in France. This movement was a sort of open declaration and acceptance of their black or African origin and their public expression of being accepted as Black writers.

Explanation:

The term "Negritude" refers to the literary movement during the early 19th century that originated in France. This literary movement was a result of the collected group of black writers and intellectuals banding together to raise concerns and cultivate their African identity and origin.

The concept of negritude developed first in Paris among the black or African writers and intellectuals who speak French and desired to express and openly declare their African origin. It was a result of their desire to be accepted and identified as black writers, their acceptance of their culture and identity. The movement was a sort of reaction against the European colonization of Africa and the need to assert the cultural racism that the Europeans had directed against the colonies.

What was the impact of the Vietnam war? (Write 3 sentences)
irakobra [83]

Answer:

The impact was mainly the American failure to commit to the policy of containment. The North Communist regime was able to take over the South, a victory for the Soviets and the Communists. Another more important (in terms of U.S history) impact was the creation of the Nixon Doctrine, which declared that future allies would only attain U.S support without the extensive use of U.S military action.

3. This photo was taken of a family in the 1930s during the Great Depression. President Roosevelt used A LOT of government power
Nana76 [90]
Were confirmation needed that the American public is in a sour mood, the 2010 midterm elections provided it. As both pre-election and post-election surveys made clear, Americans are not only strongly dissatisfied with the state of the economy and the direction in which the country is headed, but with government efforts to improve them. As the Pew Research Center’s analysis of exit poll data concluded, “the outcome of this year’s election represented a repudiation of the political status quo…. Fully 74% said they were either angry or dissatisfied with the federal government, and 73% disapproved of the job Congress is doing.”

This outlook is in interesting contrast with many of the public’s views during the Great Depression of the 1930s, not only on economic, political and social issues, but also on the role of government in addressing them.

Quite unlike today’s public, what Depression-era Americans wanted from their government was, on many counts, more not less. And despite their far more dire economic straits, they remained more optimistic than today’s public. Nor did average Americans then turn their ire upon their Groton-Harvard-educated president — this despite his failure, over his first term in office, to bring a swift end to their hardship. FDR had his detractors but these tended to be fellow members of the social and economic elite.
